A New Chapter for Denver's Community-Wide Garage Sales
The Community-Wide Garage Sales are approaching! Destination Denver has had the pleasure of helping to organize and promote these sales in Denver over the last few years. As participation in the fall sales has declined and community members have successfully taken the lead in organizing the May sales, we will shift to online promotion only for the September 10–12, 2026 garage sales. Printed listings will no longer be offered.
To support and encourage community leadership in organizing the sales, Destination Denver will step back from coordinating future garage sales while continuing to promote the event. We are excited to offer free online-only listings to participants this fall and will continue focusing on downtown business growth, community initiatives, and events that help make the Mile Wide City a vibrant place to live, shop, and visit!
Free online garage sale registration and listings will be available beginning Saturday, August 15 at Destination Denver’s website. Listings and an interactive map will go live the week of the garage sales!
Fun and Games at the Farmers Market!
The Denver Farmers Market is back at Prestien Park this week with great local vendors, family-friendly activities, delicious food, and a new community game! Thank you to everyone who found us at Denver Elementary School last week and helped make it another wonderful market evening.
With produce season in full swing, shoppers will find plenty of fresh vegetables, locally raised meats and eggs, honey, homemade jams, sourdough bread, baked treats, handcrafted goods, artwork, and more.
This week, Bremer County Extension and Outreach will be in the Little Sprouts Corner with a fun activity focused on healthy back-to-school snacks, and Dona Mari's Tacos returns as the featured food truck!
Grow Your Mile Wide Garden!
The market is also kicking off The Garden Game, a fun way for kids and adults to support Farmers Market vendors and downtown businesses during road construction. Pick up a garden plot card at the market or Denver Public Library, then visit the participating locations to collect vegetable stickers and fill your garden!
Complete your card by September 4 to receive a special Farmers Market voucher and be entered to win one of two $25 Destination Denver gift cards. No purchase is required to play!
The Denver Farmers Market is held every Thursday from 4:30–6:30 PM. Shop local, enjoy dinner, and spend the evening supporting Denver's downtown businesses.
